Two issues are known. The first issue contains biographies of Arnauld and Pascal at v. 1, p. 15-16 and 65-66 respectively, each with added engraved portrait. In the second issue, these leaves have been cancelled and replaced with biographies and portrait of Thomassin and Du Cange, and the Table to v. 1 has been updated with cancel slips. Some copies of the second issue are known with the suppressed leaves added--Cf. Brunet
Getty research institute copy is of the second issue; however, the portraits of Arnauld and Pascal are appended to the end of vol. 1, and the biographies are accomplished in manuscript
